Head Coach Dabo Swinney met with the media on Monday night following the Clemson Tigers double-overtime 47-40 loss to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The loss snapped Clemson’s 36-game regular season winning streak and 50-game winning streak on Saturdays.
Coach Swinney said that the team is looking to move forward and can control their own destiny if they win out and make it to Charlotte for the ACC Championship Game.

Swinney also announced that the banged up Tigers will be without Frank Ladson Jr. for a few games, who is dealing with a foot injury. He also announced that freshman defensive lineman Bryan Bresee had no ligament damage and would undergo further evaluation on Monday night.

Through eight games, the Clemson offense has scored 363 points, the most points a Tiger offense has put up through eight games in the history of Clemson Football. They did so while starting a freshman quarterback in D.J. Uiagalelei for two of those games.

The last question Dabo received on his Zoom call was an eyebrow raiser. When asked if he would like Notre Dame to join the ACC permanently, Coach answered with a Swinney smile.

Clemson will take this week off before traveling to Tallahassee, Florida for a match up with the Florida State Seminoles on November 21st.
