In round two of the NIT, the Tigers come face to face with the Wichita State Shockers Sunday at 2. Clemson rides in as the number two seed and the Shockers are the number six seed.
The Shockers hail from the American Athletic Conference where they are also sixth and have a 20-14 record. The Shockers are coming off a 76-70 win over the Furman Paladins. While the Tigers are 75-69 over Wright State. The winner of this matchup will play Tuesday night at Indiana.
Offensively, the Shockers are led by Markis McDuffie, Jamarius Burton and Asbjorn Midtgaard. McDuffie has the highest points per game average; 18.3 with a 41.2 field goal percentage. Burton averages 3.4 assists per game and Midtgaard holds the highest field goal percentage on the team of 64.9% and averages 3.8 points per game.
