Going into the game, Venables knew what to expect from Virginia quarterback Brandon Armstrong. He knew that his young defense would have to be aware of how good an athlete Armstrong is. Venables explained that his players were fighting all night to get things done, especially going up against an experienced offensive line.
Venables on Brandon Armstrong: "He's a good runner and everything we expected."#ClemsonSportsNews

The Tigers win over the Cavaliers makes it Clemson’s 46th consecutive win on a Saturday. Venables is proud and believes its something incredible for the “tradition-rich” Clemson. He also acknowledged Head Coach Dabo Swinney and the work that he has put in to break that record.
Venables: "It's pretty cool. 46 Saturdays in a row. That's great and pretty cool. Coach Swinney has done an amazing job and its a cool experience to be a part of."#ClemsonSportsNews
